John 15:5 (New Living Translation)

Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

This is Jesus describing the Christian life. On this occasion, He is speaking to followers—those who have already accepted Him as the Son of God. His instruction is simple:

Remain in Him

Do not retract the confession of faith. Do not walk over to the other side. There isn’t much theology here. This is pretty basic. The less written, the better.
